Anne Walker MBE
Anne started her first dance school at the age of only 17 but grew it to over 250 students who took classes in ballet, tap and all aspects of theatre dance. She then went on to found and run International Dance Supplies and so continued to work with dance teachers around the world for many years.
With more free time now available to her, Anne mentors dance teachers and small business owners and runs Dance School of the Year Awards-celebrating all that is great and good in this very special industry. She is Patron of Tap Attack as well as Devon Rape Crisis and is now honoured and delighted to become Patron of Dancing with a Difference.
“Having taught many different ages and abilities I know what an incredibly positive impact dance can have on the lives of so many children and I am proud to be part of a dance development programme that is tailored to encompass a wide spectrum of abilities.”
“In my time as a performing arts teacher and as a West End actor, I have seen first hand the magic that dance and theatre can bring to children. It unlocks their creativity and inspires self expression alongside building important social skills. I am so proud to support Linda & Charlotte and Dancing with a Difference”.

“Dance and movement teaches us so much more than just coordination and technique. It gives us a language with which to express the spark of creativity that resides in each one of us. If children can tap into that spark at a young age, I believe they emerge with a stronger sense of self, which in turn inspires confidence and drive.
